We were originally established as a single store retail premises in Leeds in 2003. Then acquired by our current owner and mother of two, Bindey Mirza in 2017. Under new leadership, The Baby Room brand promptly relaunched with our new focus on luxury nursery goods, babies and children’s designer clothing, footwear and furniture. The relaunch was supported by an emphasis on digital promotion that saw the business grow from £300k turnover in 2017/18 to £4.7m in 2018/19 with a net profit of £101k.
We are operating in a growing sector. The European childrenswear market is expected to grow from €67b in 2018 to €74b in 2019. Worldwide, childrenswear is the fastest-growing apparel segment.
We have a direct and advantageous relationship with big brands such as Fendi, Versace, Silver Cross amongst others.
